We are a young group of students of Ethnology, History of Arts and other departments of the University of Freiburg (Germany), under the supervision of Dr. Andreas Volz.

We all share a lively interest in international modern art, therefore we are enthusiastic about Mr. Volz’s idea to bring this „Project Open Art“ into being.

Dr. Andreas Volz is a lecturer and member of the department of Ethnology of the University of Freiburg. One of his main interests is art, traditional as well as modern and contemporary non-European art. For him contemporary art is an important topic for research in social anthropology and in history of art.
